The utilitarian parka is a big part of the military trend that has been out for a while now. Designers have a plethora of different styles from long to short, fur collars, elaborate colors/fabrics, and some that are fully lined with fur. This one from Diesel is 100% cotton and is unique because it comes with a detachable quilted lining that can actually be worn as a stand alone jacket as seen in my look below from a few weeks ago:

I thought it would be fun to style the parka in three different looks and theses are what I came up with. The first look is a more fall/winter casual look. I like the contrast of the orange sweater with the ripped denim so that is what I built the outfit around. For the second look I wanted it to be more sporty so I paired the parka with sweatpants, high tops, and a tee that I cut holes in a few months back. The backpack definitely helped to complete this look. As for the last look I chose a more dressy outfit. If your going somewhere where you need to dress up but you still want to look fashionably throwing a parka over your blazer or suit will set you apart from the crowd. This jacket is so versatile and can be styled so many different ways. It will definitely be a staple piece for me this winter.
